            May I have your assistance please?

To maintain our policy of a different choice of the annual Family Weekend venues, will you, The Members, seek out a hotel and organise for future Family Weekends as from 2008 onwards. This will assist the Social Secretary (Situation Vacant) and of course the SCA Committee.

            Bearing in mind that the Family Weekend consists of

    1.                  An evening meal on the Friday.

2.                  A formal dinner on the Saturday evening with sherry reception and port.

3.                  To accommodate 40 – 50+ persons.

4.                  Preferably in or around the centre of the country.

5.                  Duration and date of stay, one or two weeks before that years Easter Weekend. To arrive on

                     the Friday and depart Sunday forenoon.

Please have the hotel cost the above when submitting your choice, the Committee will vet your choice  and

give the yea or nay.

It is hoped that this will open up the choices for us plus that a local Member or a Member who stayed in his choice will have less of a journey investigating hotels.

The only way this will work is if the Committee has a response from you, the Members, so please contribute, Gentlemen.

My aim is to inform the Membership at our AGM’s the choices or choice, for the following year’s venue of the Family Weekend. This hopefully will give all ample time to make decisions.
